Terms of Service
Last updated: May 22, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the defi.finance website and analytics tools (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
defi.finance is a free analytics product that aggregates and displays decentralized finance (DeFi) data — including total value locked (TVL), yields, prices, stablecoin metrics, chain comparisons, and market sentiment indicators.
The Service is provided for general informational purposes only. No account or registration is required to use it.
2. Not financial advice
Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, tax, or other professional advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any digital asset or to engage with any protocol.
We do not audit, endorse, or vouch for any protocol, token, chain, or third party listed on the Service. Always do your own research (DYOR) and consult a qualified professional before making any financial decision.
3. Data accuracy and “as is” disclaimer
The data shown is sourced from third parties and public on-chain sources and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Metrics such as TVL, APY, and risk scores are estimates and methodologies may change.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
4. Assumption of risk
DeFi and digital assets are volatile and carry significant risk, including the total loss of funds. Smart contracts may contain bugs or be exploited. You are solely responsible for evaluating the risks of any asset, protocol, or transaction.
Any action you take based on information from the Service is strictly at your own risk.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, defi.finance and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or digital assets, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not: use automated means to scrape, crawl, or harvest data in a way that places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure or circumvents rate limits; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems; interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service; or use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, branding, text, and original compilations of data, is owned by defi.finance and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Underlying market data may belong to its respective third-party sources. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law or with our prior written consent.
8. Third-party content and links
The Service may reference or link to third-party protocols, websites, and resources. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, or services, and listing or linking does not imply endorsement.
9. Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for doing so.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
